These terms and conditions are for the use of KAS eKeys App and all relevant products and services.
KAS reserve the right to amend these T&Cs at any time.
Where relevant the main website Terms and Conditions also apply to this Terms and Conditions.
KAS is not responsible to you or anyone else for any loss suffered in connection with the use of this app or any of the content. This includes, but is not limited to, the transmission of any software virus and/or security risks.
Where liability cannot be excluded, any liability incurred by us in relation to the use of this app or the content is limited as provided under the Trade Practices Act 1974 (s68A). We will never be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising out of the use of this app, including loss of business profits, personal liability or personal possessions.
We record your details in a secure database and log information for statistical purposes.
KAS does not take responsibility if the app or door lock has been hacked and security is breached for the customer. KAS endeavour to always make their products as secure as possible. If a potential hacker has gain entry, KAS do not take responsibility for this. If the electronics malfunction or software does not function properly. KAS does not hold responsible for unwarranted access due to electronics malfunction of software bug. It’s is sole responsibly of the purchaser to ensure the ultimate security of there personal property and security.
Other Terms and Conditions
Thankyou for considering and/or selecting and purchasing our company electronic KAS Keyless Access Security Door Locks. Our Keyless Access locks include Finger Print Locks (or Finger Locks), RF Card Smart Locks (or otherwise known as Smart Locks), Digital Locks (or Electronic Number Locks). Our Biometric Lock (Fingerprint lock), Digital lock and RF Smart card locks also come in a combination of these features, Function combinations of biometric locks, fingerprint locks, digital locks and RF smart card locks are detailed throughout this website. In order to protect the function and warranty of your electronic Keyless Access electronic door locks please read the following carefully.
Free Shipping is supplied on all new electronic locks, fingerprint locks, biometric locks, digital locks and keyless locks within Australia. Offer is limited to standard delivery within Australia. Entire order must be shipped to a single address. May not apply to prior purchases, Wholesale/Trade orders or open orders and cannot be combined with any other offer. Customer is responsible for shipping costs on returned merchandise. Promotion may be modified or terminated at any time. Certain restrictions may apply.
Freight charges may apply for construction drop shipments to residential, commercial and construction sites. Other shipping charges such as re-consignment, redelivery and storage charges may apply when requested by a dealer or customer. Please contact KA Security sale desk for any applicable fees.
“Priority Service and Postage” will leave by next Business day*, applies to a maximum order of 4 Customised Locks. The package will travel on the fastest service available by KAS Keyless Access Security under our affiliates (Australia Post Express or one of our currently used Courier services).
International Shipping Orders – Please contact us for a quote to organise your international shipping cost. It will be contained to no more than the best cost price according to your personal requirements. Please specify your requirements and we will be inc contact with you to best suit your individual requirements.
Claims and Returns
All claims for damages and shortages of products including fingerprint locks, electronic locks, biometric locks digital locks, keyless locks and keyless access products must be reported to KAS Keyless Access Security in writing within 5 days after delivery. Returned goods will not be accepted without written authorisation. All items will be subject to inspection. All items must be returned in original condition and packaging. All returned goods must be shipped freight prepaid.
Standard electronic locks, biometeric locks, fingerprint locks, keyless locks and keyless access products are shipped within 3/6 business days of order and customised electronic locks, finger print locks, biometeric locks and keyless lock products are shipped within 3/6 business days of order. “Priority Service and Postage” will be shipped out same business day of order received in time for postage, or by the latest the following business day.
12 Month Warranty
KAS Keyless Access Security will provide a complete 12-month product replacement. This warranty is extended only to the original purchaser of the unit under warranty and is valid only when bought through an authorized KAS Keyless Access Security retailer.
The above warranty applies as long as damage is not caused by an accident, abuse, misuse, fire, insects, use of abrasive products, water or force majeure or an act of God. Transport, handling or installation damages are also excluded. PLEASE NOTE: These electronic locks are not designed to withstand direct water penetration as could be inflicted by Rain or a Hose. Please be extremely careful when hosing down around your electronic door locks, fingerprint door locks and keyless door locks as water penetration will cause damage to the electronic circuitry. These keyless access locks are designed to be powered only by alkaline batteries and batteries or voltage other than 4 x AA Alkaline Batteries will void your warranty.
The battery operated door locks are supplied on the basis of been installed free from any rain and moisture exposure, as water penetration that has ingressed to inside the lock could cause damage and would void the warranty of the lock. If the client’s site conditions (including exposure to cyclonic and storm conditions) could compromise any locks to such exposure and therefore allow the penetration of moisture ingress, then a separately available lock cover must be purchased and installed by the client to avoid the warranty of the lock from been compromised.
Any defect involving the manufacturer’s liability shall be reported to KA Security within ten (10) days of its occurrence. Locks claimed to be defective shall be held until inspected by an authorised representative of KA Security, and upon their specific instructions, locks found to be defective will be repaired and replaced by KA Security. The liability of KA Security with respect to the sale of this lock shall be limited to repair or replacement by a similar product as provided above and does not include any cost of removal, reinstallation, transport of defective product, loss of time, salary or any other expenses (including the alternative security arrangements for securing your doors) as well as any consequential damages of any kind. KA Security and its representatives shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, cost or other damage, whether consequential or incidental, that arise from any defect covered under this limited warranty, even if KA Security has been advised of the possibility of such damage.
KAS Keyless Access Security’s 12 month warranty replaces all other warranties, expressed or implied, in face or at law, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. The terms of this warranty cannot be modified or extended in any way whatsoever by any agent, dealer, distributor, service company or other party other than KAS Keyless Access Security.
14 Day Money Back Guarantee
The 14 day money back guarantee applies only to the ‘Stand Alone Locks’ from the ‘Keyless Access Door Locks” online side of the website. This offer does not apply to the ‘Lock Management System’ (LMS) locks and products. The Deposit for LMS products (which commences the locks production, software customisation and installation preparation procedures) is a non-refundable deposit.
Insured parcels will be replaced with the exact product in a reasonable amount of time. Although KAS Keyless Access Security takes all necessary precautions to ensure your freight arrives in perfect condition we do not take liability for third party transport.
This warranty gives specific legal rights and is not applicable if it interferes with any law or regulation in any state, province or country.
KAS Keyless Access Security reserves the right to change, without notice, the models, the specifications and the price of its products; including electronic door locks, fingerprint door locks, biometeric locks and other keyless access products.
Limitation of Liability
Our Limitation of Liability, under all circumstances, including, but not limited to, negligence, for the directors and/or staff of KAS Keyless Access Security, shall be liable for any direct, indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages, including, but not limited to, alternative security arrangements, loss or damages to equipment or profit, arising out of the use, or the inability to use, the products sold by this company, even if KAS Keyless Access Security or authorised representatives or re-sellers of our products, have been advised of the possibility of such damages. If your use of materials from this site results in the need for servicing, repair or correction of equipment or data, you assume any costs thereof.
Installation and Limit of ESD Liability: KAS purely provides the ESD (Energy Savings Device) on a ‘supply only’ basis. The complete installation procedure (including any re-installations that may be required for any faulty replacement units is to be conducted and paid for by the client using the client’s chosen electrical contractors. No liability will be accepted for any down time (or any costs that may be incurred by the client) during the replacement process for any faulty equipment, while it is faulty and while waiting for the replacement part to arrive. The liability for ESD’s is purely limited to replacement of the faulty ESD or reeds switches during the warranty period of 12 months from time of site delivery (unless otherwise agreed in writing).
